At last I’ve done something about updating this site and starting a Blog.

I have added considerably, to my E-book, particularly the Consciousness section, by the addition of a section on the Actuator. This was partially confirmed to me by Candace Pert’s “Your Body is Your Subconscious Mind,” which is a fantastic DVD of a live talk by Dr Pert, which explains some of the things that I thought were true, in a very clear, but scientific way. I would recommend that if you have never thought much about this subject, that you read my non-scientific description of how all this works before you get Candace Pert’s wonderful talk on current neuroscience. It actually makes a very good introduction to the subject.

Buskers Festival Ferrara 2008 For those who do not know, Buskers are street musicians and performers. Every year they gather from all over the world in Ferrara, Northern Italy, for their annual Festival. They play and perform in the streets of the town for three days. Isi , our intrepid photographer was there.

Fred''s 80th Birthday party and Alan's Photos here and HERE . I have now put captions to the pictures. Isi and Alan were the photographers as I had other things on my mind, and so did they, so there are not a lot of pics. Gaia married Madjama and the party was at Carmelo and Debora's house.

Gaia e Madjama si sono sposati.. Il “ricevimento” a casa di Carmelo e Debora.

Carmelo cultivates cacti as a hobby. Fortunately many were in flower at the time. I never knew cacti were so beautiful.

Carmelo coltiva cactus come hobby. Quando ho scattato queste foto fortunatamente erano in fiore. Non avrei mai pensato che i cactus fossero cosi belli.

Gaia had her own party and invited most of the same folks, but this time Giovanni, the blind professor brought his electric piano, and Simone brought her amplifier and microphone, so we had music, as well as food and wine.

Gaia ha organizzato il suo “party” invitando gli stessi amici e qualcuno in piu’.Questa volta Giovanni,il professore non vedente ha portato la tastiera e Simona amplificatore e microfono:la musica è stata fantastica cosi’ come il cibo e il vino.

The family sofa is now retired. It has seen much action since Egidio and Maria became engaged on it in August 1971!

Etna in eruption. 2002/3 I arrived in Sicily on 1st July 2002. In September she erupted.

Sicily Section

July 5th 2006 Isi took me to Cuba! It is a seventh century church near Castiglione, about which there seems to be some controversy. An American guy from the University of Arizona, Tucson says it is definitely Norman from 1080 or so, while Salvatore Giglio (La Chiesa Bizantina in Contrada Santa Domenica) says it was begun in the 7th Century and finished in the 9th.

Pics of Zafferana Zafferana is small town on the southern slopes of Etna. It is about 20 km up the mountain from Catania and is a preferred tourist spot. Typical hillside Sicilian town reached by a very winding road from Linguaglossa.
